So, for February, I didn’t read that much, with only 6 books under my belt. In my defence, I had to pack, clean and move this month. I also damaged my Sciatic during the month, so sitting isn’t comfortable, and I can’t read on my back well. So, this month didn’t go according to plan. But at least I read a couple of books!

Renegades by Marissa Meyer

I had high expectations for this book as I have heard so much about it, I loved the Lunar Chronicles from her, but despise Heartless, so I was worried. I think the book was good, but it definitely went a different way than I was expecting. I did enjoy the book, and I am really curious how things will play out. I do like the characters and the world is very intriguing. I will be writing a proper review for each book in this series, but they will come soon. Just got to actually write them.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Call It What You Want by Bridged Kemmerer

I didn’t know what to expect from this book, but personally, I wasn’t a massive fan. I either love or don’t really like a contemporary book, and unfortunately, this is on the dislike side. It was more meh than anything. I liked bits and pieces, and I think the overall story was okay, but I just got annoyed by certain aspects, and it just grew from that. So, unfortunately, my first below 4 star book of the year.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

This was the first book club pick, and it was an interesting read. I felt like a lot happened in this book considering its size, and the fact that the next two are at least double, I’m curious what will happen. I liked the story and the characters, but I felt at times the pacing was off, and some time gaps confused or slightly annoyed me. But other than that, I did enjoy the story and the characters. Hopefully ill be finishing the series next month. If y’all want to join our book club. Go to @thousandpages.bookclub on insta ;)

Heartstopper Vol. 3 by Alice Oseman

This volume! Now I really liked the first two, in fact, the ending of the second almost made me cry :’) happy tears of course, but still. This one is now my favourite! Now I won't spoil it, but I loved the overall story that this one took, and the newer characters introduced and having more info on the lives of some of the other characters. But also, of course, having more Charlie/Nick time. They’re just so adorable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Archenemies by Marissa Meyer

This is the sequel to Renegades, and unfortunately, in my opinion, suffers from middle book syndrome. I enjoyed it, but I also had my moments of sighing. I loved some parts, which kept me going, and I’m loving the development of some characters, and it kept me interested enough that I cannot wait to read the third. It’s sitting at about a 3.75 in points, but a 4 on Goodreads.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Death Note Vol. 1 by Tsugumi Ohba & Takeshi Obata (Illustrator)

This Is the final book I read this month, I read it because I forgot about a monthly challenge I have and I knew I wouldn’t finish the others books that would have fit, but this one thankfully did. I was planning a reread of this manga series this year, so why not slowly start now. It's still a really good manga, but It's been years since I read them, so ill be interested to see if I still enjoy them. I also forgot how much I used to ship L and Light… I still do. :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

And those were my February reads. I only got to 6 books this month, which I’m a little upset about. I’m trying for at least 8 a month. But given how crazy things were, I’m letting myself off this time. But I’m planning on getting a lot more read next month, and hopefully, I’ll be finishing a couple of series I've started.
